US EPA legislation is under review and is calendered to pass in October 2009 that will impose treatment requirements for the proper disposal of Oil Produce water generated from the oil / water from oil wells.
The current methods are to treat for down well reuse, treat for land disposal or haul it off.
Removing the residual oil / suspended solids followed by reuse or filtration and membrane technologies is the first step after the oil is separated from the water.
500 ppm of Floccin 1105 was used to treat the sample and the treated water clarity meets their permitted requirements for mixture (dilution) with irrigation water.
