The production of potato salad creates a
high BOD and Fats, Oil & Grease wastewater
that was costing over $6,000 per month in
surcharges to treat by the local POTW. The
facility investigated the use of the Floccin™ product and found that Floccin™ H removed
over 90% of the TSS and 80% of the BOD, thereby decreasing the surcharges to
the POTW from $6,000 per month to $1,500 per month. The facility treats 15,000
gallons per day and uses only 80 lbs per day of Floccin™ H.
