Targeting TSS and Achieving Clarity
The wastewater sample when received was a pH of 10.3.
The request for a wastewater solution was to remove TSS and obtain better water clarity. Various Floccin™ blends were used until the water clarity was acceptable.
Better results were obtained combining the two types of wastewater and performing the jar test.
The recommended treatment is to use Floccin™ 1119 first at 4 lbs. per 1,000 gallons and add a small amount of base to lower the pH to 7.5.
The jar test results are shown below and indicate the untreated solids on the right and the treated with the 1119 separated very well on the left. You can see the difference in the bottom of the treated jar.
The Floccin™ 1119 is shipped in 50 lb. bags and is priced very reasonably at in 2,000 pallet quantities. Trial sizes of the Floccin™ 1119 are available.
