Primary Clarifier Pulp Recovery w/Floccin 1105 Addition
- Recover Pulp and send back to Pulper
- Up to 6% of finished paper tonnage is lost to the WW System
- Up to 90% of this can be recovered and reused/repulped
- Review of paper quality versus bacterial deposition and water reuse technologies need to be part of this program
- Reduce sludge dewatering costs and tons/day hauled off.
- If 90% pulp return from the primary clarifier, then overall sludge generation is reduced by 50% by weight (primary and secondary sludges).
- Reduce the organic load (COD) to the Biological System
- Reduction is 90% for suspended solids and 40% COD from the primary clarifier equates to reduced organic load to the secondary biological process, thereby increases biological capacity by 40%.
