Down Draft Oxygenated Aerators
Submersible Vertically Mounted Units
The Aerator shown is a submersible, vertically-mounted unit that injects and mixes the oxygen with the wastewater.
The mixing is accomplished using a 15 HP, 1800 RPM electric motor and rotor that directs flow downward into the pond. The unit is suspended using floats attached by float arms to the vertical support tube. The motor and mixer are mounted to the vertical support tube at the depth selected during assembly.
A stainless steel oxygen line extends downward in the center of the vertical support tube and is connected to the diffuser ring, which is vertically centered in the flow tube. Oxygen is diffused in the diffuser ring into the flow stream on the discharge of the rotor. Fine oxygen bubbles and diffusion into the water is key for optimal oxygen transfer and reduction of BOD.
Power for the motor is provided using SEOOW cord from a water tight connection box, located on the support float arm, and directed to the motor along the vertical support tube to the motor connection box.
